Deleting your account from the app
You can delete your Barakah account yourself, from inside the app, without contacting anyone.
- 1Open the Barakah app and go to Account.
- 2Tap Settings.
- 3Tap Delete account.
- 4Confirm when asked "Are you sure you want to delete your account?" by choosing Confirm deletion.
You are signed out immediately once the request is submitted.
If you cannot open the app
If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, you can still ask us to delete your account. Contact us with the mobile number registered to the account and we will action the request for you.
What happens to your data
Deleting your account closes it and ends your access to it. Your profile and account data are removed from the Barakah app.
Some records are kept where regulation requires us to keep them — invoices and payment records in particular are subject to statutory retention periods, and cannot be erased on request while those periods are running. Records kept for that reason are not used to contact you or to build a profile of you.
